The only place in the area open 7 days a week, with breakfast at 8am daily. Bloody Mary excellence.

I never understand why this place doesn't have enough help. Waited 20 minutes to get someone to get our drink order taken. Food was an hour later. We had to ask for our soup before our dinner came. Waste of my weekend. Good part was Monte D.

I still haven't found that one place in this particular area that's worth a return trip. For the appetizer we ordered Catfish Nuggets which didn't taste like catfish at all. Odd. I had the Fried Cod Sandwich with Coleslaw. The sandwich didn't have much flavor, and the coleslaw was surprisingly bland. This is a restaurant that's near the lake; the fish offerings should be above average. Apparently, that's still a rarity. The service was acceptable, if a tad inattentive. The inside was clean and I have to admit it was nice being at a restaurant near the lake that was non-smoking.

We have a condo on the North shore so we were excited when Batter's Box opened. We LOVE this place. It has a great breakfast menu. Their dinner specials are always yummy! The staff is super friendly and always make you feel welcome. My favorite menu items are the Coaches Special for breakfast and the Burnt ends for an appetizer . . . Oh wait, there's always the Thursday night special all you can eat crab legs. If you haven't been here. You should stop in the next time you're driving by. You won't be disappointed.

Average food, nothing to write home about. Poor beer selection. Why can't we have craft beers at the lake on draft..bud, miller products why bother...
